BMW's strong Ingress-ion ~ Ingress to be the latest authorised dealer for BMW cars in Malaysia

 

INGRESS Auto Sdn Bhd has been appointed as the newest authorised dealer for BMW cars in Malaysia.

Following the appointment by BMW Malaysia, Ingress Auto will be setting up its new BMW 4S (sales, service, systems and spare parts) centre along the prime thoroughfare of Jalan Damansara, fronting the Damansara-Puchong Expressway.

The state-of-the-art facility, with a total built-up area of 9,783 sq metres, is expected to open in the first quarter of next year. Land and building costs are said total some RM30 million.

 


Ingress Auto is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ingress Corporation Bhd that has 16 operating companies in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Ingress is a well known automotive component manufacturer and is also involved in power engineering, rail electrification, and oil and gas services.

“We are delighted to join the BMW dealership family and are determined to be a signigicant contributor to the fastest-growing brand in the premium segment of the Malaysian car industry,” said Ingress Auto executive chairman Rameli Musa at a Press conference to announce the company’s appointment at Cyberjaya yesterday.

He said Ingress Auto will set the same high premium standard of personalised care and excellent after-sales service for its customers.

“We are working to ensure that our dealership will have the best and brightest people to meet the exacting standards of service that descerning customers expect.”

The new facility will house the sales office, new car showroom, used car showroom, lifestyle and accessories display area, meeting and discussing rooms, service reception area, parts sales reception, children’s play area, cafe and service workshops with 15 bays.

The concept of its architecture reflects the essence of the BMW brand and complies with the make’s international standards and specifications.

BMW Group Malaysia managing director Wolfgang Schlimme expressed confidence that Ingress Auto’s competence will further sterngthen BMW’s presence in the Malaysian market.

“With a superb track record in the automotive business, Ingress Auto has the right experience, professional management and qualities to grow with us,” he added.

Last year, the group registered sales of some 3,213 units of BMW and Mini vehicles, or 25.1 per cent higher than the 2,574 units in 2004.

BMW Malaysia’s network upgrade and expansion initiatives commenced with the unveiling of Seong Hoe Premium Motors’ 4S facility in Malacca in May 2005. In August, it announced the appointment of Sapura Group as its first new dealer since BMW Malaysia began operations in 2003.
