Ingress seeks EGM to postpone sukuk maturity date

KUALA LUMPUR : Ingress Corp Bhd has issued a notice seeking an EGM with holders of its RM160 million Sukuk Al-Ijarah to be held on July 2 as it seeks to extend the maturity date of the Islamic papers.

Ingress said yesterday that it issued the delay notice to enable it to prepare a restructuring plan as the first tranche of debt papers would mature on July 9.

It hoped the sukuk holders would consider its extraordinary resolution to extend the maturity date of the first tranche of the sukuk due on July 9 to Jan 9 next year.

Last week, Ingress said it was unable to deposit RM 25 million into an Ijarah service reserve account by the June 9 deadline.

The RM25 million was 50% of the sukuk's principal repayment of RM50 million of the first tranche.
